Ask the bros to achieve the hearts of the doves.
Based on the story of "The Taming of the Shrew" and the 2009 film "500 Days of Summer"

In Taming of the Shrew, the suitors have their own way to make Bianca fall for them. There was a time where one of the suitors were talking about what they like about Bianca and how they wanted to pursue her. On the flip side in a 2009 film, "500 Days of Summer", it was about a guy who fell for a girl who doesn't believe in true love. He pursued her and treated her like a girlfriend but she took the relationship as being "best friends". Whether it's 16th century or 2011, men needs to seek for advice from their peers to help them stay sane and to solidify their decision about courting.
In the book “The Taming of the Shrew”, Lucentio, one of Bianca’s suitors, was talking about the things that he notice and loved about her when he first saw her. However, Tranio, his servant, thinks that it’s going to be a bad thing to like her so fast and start to woo her.

Act 1, Scene 1
Lucentio:
Oh yes, I saw sweet beauty in her face
Such as the daughter of Agenor had,
That made great Jove to humble him to her hand
When with his knees he kissed the Cretan strand.
Tranio, I saw her coral lips to move,
And with her breath she did perfume the air.
Sacred and sweet was all I saw in her.
Tranio:
Nay, then ‘tis time to stir him from his trance.
I pray, awake, sir! If you love the maid,
Bend thoughts and wits to achieve her.

Lucentio is in the mind span of "Go go go! Chase her!" While Tranio is more on the mind span of "Hold your horses." In this scene, Lucentio was only talking about how Bianca is so perfect and how he wanted for her to be his. He's pretty much head over heels in love with Bianca. Tranio on the other side is trying to bring Lucentio back to his normal state and says if he wanted to woo Bianca, he should start to do something to court her. Without Tranio being in the picture as Lucentio's comrade, he has some aid to help him achieve his goal of having Bianca's heart. Men in love needs a person to help them to pursue the girl that they love. It might be as small as giving him some encouragement before talking to the girl or someone to slap the reality back to their mind.

Aside from “The Taming of the Shrew”, in 500 Days of Summer, the main character, Thomas met Summer and already fell in love with her. There was a part of the movie where Tom started to list things that he loved about Summer. He said that he likes her smile, the sound of her laugh, her knees, the heart shaped birthmark that she have on her chest, the way she looks when she sleeps, her hair, and the way she licks her lips before talking. He was talking about it with his friend Paul, and Paul thinks that it's not going to be okay because Thomas sounds like he's head over heels in love with Summer.

In this scene, Thomas was talking about Summer and how he fell in love with her. He was talking about the things that they did and how they were compatible. He was talking about the things that she does and the things that he notice about her. His friend Paul was more concern about how he's TOO in love with Summer and told him to slow down a little and take things one at a time while. On the other side, his friend McKenzie, told him to go and pursue her. He's pretty much telling Thomas to do whatever it takes for him to get her. Even though Thomas have two friends who contradict each other he still have a little ideas what to do to pursue Summer. Men needs their peers to show them the views in different perspective to help them look at the bigger picture.

Once again in “The Taming of the Shrew”, Tranio is questioning Lucentio if its possible for him to love a girl so suddenly. Lucentio answered by saying that he never knew its possible that he’s ever going to fall in love so hard with someone. He’s also shocked with himself how he can love someone so dearly. Lucentio even said that he’s going to die in agony if he’s not going to have Bianca as his wife.

Act 1, Scene 1
TRANIO:
I pray, sir, tell me, is it possible
That love should of a sudden take such hold?
LUCENTIO:
O Tranio, till I found it to be true,
I never thought it possible or likely.
But see, while idly I stood looking on,
I found the effect of love in idleness
And now in plainness do confess to thee
That art to me as secret and as dear
As Anna to the Queen of Carthage was,
Tranio, I burn, I pine, I perish, Tranio,
If I achieve not this young modest girl.
Counsel me, Tranio, for I know thou canst.
Assist me, Tranio, for I know thou wilt.

TRANIO:
Master, it is no time to chide you now.
Affection is not rated from the heart.
If love have touched you, naught remains but so:
Redime te captum quam queas minimo.

In this scene, Lucentio was once again talking about how he loves Bianca. He was talking about he never felt anything like this before. He's treating Tranio like his psychologist because he's telling him the things like the reasons why he likes her and the things that he's planning to do to be close to her. Tranio on the other side, is trying to bring him back to his normal self again and trying to say that he doesn't want to lecture Lucentio about if he love Bianca, he love Bianca. Tranio is pretty much telling Lucentio that he's thinking about Bianca too much that he's missing the small details about the whole picture. Tranio is the person that's making Lucentio sane. Without Tranio, Lucentio can be just on the side adoring Bianca with no aid and idea about what to do. All thanks to Tranio. Men needs friends to keep their feet on the ground so they will not fly high to the love clouds and totally forget about the world.

Lastly, in 500 Days of Summer, Thomas has a little helped named Grace. Grace is like Thomas' love guru or the advice giver. Since she's a girl, Thomas ask her for advise on how and what girls think about. On the first picture, Thomas was talking about how he wanted to ask Summer if their relationship is official. However, he didn't want to ask Summer because he thinks that its going to be awkward for the both of them. To answer his question, he asked for Grace's advice. She end up saying, "Stop being a pussy and just ask her. Since you wanted to ask her in the first place anyway." On the second picture, Thomas was talking about how Summer have the same things that he likes. For example is the genre of music and the artist that they listen to. Grace on the other hand thinks that even though Summer likes the same bizarre things that Thomas like, it doesn't make them soul mates.

Without Grace, Thomas will always ask how women think and how he's going to act around Summer. Grace was pretty much the ace card that Thomas has because of how Grace gives him advice about girls. Even though Grace is a young kid, he still helped Thomas big time. In the movie, whenever Thomas encounters a problem about Summer, Grace is always there to give him aid and help him solve his problem about Summer. If Lucentio have a Tranio, Thomas has a Grace to help him. Men needs to seek advice from their female friends to understand how the brain of a woman function.

In the story The Taming of the Shrew and in the fil 500 Days of Summer, it portrays that even though guys shows this bravado personality that they are awesome, they still ask for advice fromt their peers. Without their friends men are going to be clueless on what they are going to do. It's both staying on the ground and not fly away to the love clouds or just to see the bigger picture of the whole scenario. They seek advice to solidify their ways to court the girl that they love. Without asking for advice, they might mess up and totally ruin their chance of pursuing the girl of their dreams. All thanks to the bros, everything gets simple and reachable for them.
